I’ve learned a lot.
Here's something to consider.
There is often a big gap between” I know” and making a change.
Read MoreI posted a big, long, juicy list of questions last week.
I changed the post a little to support it to be seen and heard in the intention I wrote it. If you'd like to take another look please do!

What is my place in the ongoing conversation about how we share and care for our world?
Particularly, how do we care for the neediest among us, including the more than human world who is speaking up loudly right now!
With that in mind I offer up these 50+ Juicy questions for you to explore for yourself, with your family, friends, co-workers, or tribe.
Read MoreI recently finished Tribes by Seth Godin.
This book is about encouraging you and I to be leaders. It’s done with humor, irreverence and it made me feel hopeful that we the masses can make a difference.
I see a need for leadership particularly around social justice as that is something that has been near and dear to my heart most of my life.

My July reads.
I love these three books.
Here’s why.
For me to take in information I have a need for transparency. As much as I love new information and practices I can best fully take it in when delivered from an expert who allows me to see their humanness.
Read More“All violence stems from violence against females.
It normalizes all other violence.” Gloria Steinem
I read those words in two different books in a period of six months.

Even as I sat down to write this post I thought yikes, this is a complicated topic and their are minefields anyone reading this can fall into. I want to acknowledge that right out of the gate.
And I want to share a practice and open up the topic a bit.
Read MoreI walked Pilot Butte this morning.
On my way down I walked by a mother who seemed really upset at her child. He looked like he was about ten years old and overweight by our standards. She was calling him a loser because he didn’t want to keep walking up. She said it three or four times and then she started walking ahead of him.

Corny introduction. I know and...
I live in an intentional community. I know all my neighbors by name. We have fun working, conversing, eating and exploring together. We have a big garden. I really appreciate all those fresh veggies! We struggle with conflict, we learn and we grow.
Read MoreIf you are a Mother and you haven’t read The Price of Motherhood by Ann Crittenden please do so.
It pertains to all Mothers; rich, poor, black, latino, native american or white.
I was saying to myself this morning. Where have you been that you didn’t fully understand the price of motherhood and didn’t take the time to educate yourself?
I know I’ve been complacent because it’s been okay. Being a white woman with enough privilege to be okay meant not really understanding that equality is not anywhere close to being true in the USA. Especially for Mothers.
